Types of natural roasted coffee beans

There are two main coffee species: Arabica and Robusta. These are further divided into various varieties and subvarieties:

Arabica coffee is the original coffee species and the most commonly grown, making up about 75% of global production. It needs more specific growing conditions but offers a more complex flavor profile with delicate nuances compared to Robusta.

Robusta coffee is tougher and easier to cultivate. They grow well on flat terrain, which allows for higher plant density and better yields. Robusta has more caffeine, and higher acidity, and produces a fuller-bodied brew. However, its flavor is simpler and less aromatic than Arabica.

Coffee blends, sometimes referred to as mixtures, result from combining different coffees to create unique flavor profiles and characteristics that suit specific tastes.

Whole-bean coffee has plenty of advantages. First, it retains its flavor and aroma longer because the beans are ground fresh right before brewing.

It’s also packed with bioactive compounds, including antioxidants and polyphenols, which may offer health benefits. The number of cups you can brew from a kilogram of whole-bean coffee depends on several factors – primarily the settings on your super-automatic coffee machine and your taste preferences. Do you enjoy a stronger coffee or a lighter one?For a standard cup, we recommend using 8-9 grams of coffee per serving. This translates to roughly 120 cups per kilogram of coffee beans or 60 cups from a half-kilogram package.

At INCAPTO, we roast coffee daily to ensure every batch is as fresh as possible. Our goal is to deliver freshly roasted whole-bean coffee to your home in the shortest time from the roast date.

You’ll always find the roast date printed on the back of every package – something you won’t see with capsule coffees or most commercial brands. Compare it with what you find at your regular supermarket! Our coffees are roasted in small batches using an artisanal specialty coffee roaster, handled with care by our expert roasters.

Proper storage of whole-bean coffee is essential to preserve its freshness and quality. At INCAPTO, we recommend keeping it in a cool, dry, and dark place, away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity. For best results, store your coffee in an airtight, opaque container to protect it from air and oxidation.
Additionally, we recommend grinding your beans just before brewing, as ground coffee deteriorates more quickly. By following these storage tips, you can enjoy fresh, flavorful whole-bean coffee for longer.

The shelf life of an opened package of whole-bean coffee depends on several factors, including the type of coffee, bean quality, and storage conditions. We recommend consuming the coffee within two weeks of opening to enjoy its peak freshness and flavor. Be sure to store it in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity to prevent oxidation and preserve its freshness.

If the package of whole-bean coffee remains sealed, it lasts longer because the packaging is designed to maintain freshness and protect the beans from deterioration. INCAPTO’s 500g and 1kg coffee bags feature a ziplock system to keep your coffee fresher than storing it in your coffee machine’s hopper.

You’ll find the expiration date on the sealed package. Be sure to check it and enjoy the coffee before it expires for the best quality.

To make the most of your coffee’s freshness and flavor, we recommend buying whole-bean coffee in quantities you can reasonably consume.

At INCAPTO, sustainability is one of our most important values. At INCAPTO, we partner with coffee farms that are less than 10 hectares in size or cooperatives that support small coffee growers.

By cutting out the middleman and importing directly, we can pay farmers a fairer price while keeping the final retail price reasonable for you. Each of our partner farms is tied to a unique project – discover their stories on the product pages of our single-origin coffees!
